Hartford westend.com would like to thank the few customers that come to Hartford’s West-End and risk their lives by shopping here. Even though there has been multipliable murders here in the street, muggings, street fighting, drinking, and begging, is it any wonder why business can’t make it in Hartford’s West-End. Police presence in the area has stepped up to three cars and under cover agents as well, but with out better leadership it is domed to fail.

Don't Let Them Trick You

The Farmington Ave alliance which was started to help develop the business in Hartford's west end, is made up by housewives, not the business owners, that make decisions that affect the business district in Hartford west end with out any input from the business owners. They have there own agenda, and ideas which have proved to be wrong time and time again. This represents the business center of the Hartford's West End, once a nice place to have a business and live with a nice assortment of retail shops and resturants. After the Farmington Ave Business Alliance took hold (and by the way, all but one of the business located here in the West End are not members of the Farmington Ave Business Alliance) and with their careful planning have made it another one of the Hartford area's you just want to avoid. As the business left so did the people and now the west end is home to section eight. We watch as people move out who have lived here for a long time before the value of there property is lost. Their plan now is to get a Boulevard installed from Prospect Ave to Whiney Street so their area (the north side of Farmington Ave) between those streets will be some what protected.

As the City of Hartford rasies taxes on business to pay for it. It truely is a crazy world.
